My Everyday Makeup Routine

a smile is the best makeuo that a girl can wear

Hey, guys! Quick note before I get to the post. I’m very sorry that this post is a few days late. I was terribly sick for the last part of my spring break, and I’ve been out of school these past few days and I’ve been doing my best to focus on healing. But lucky for you, I plan on spreading out the posts that I had planned so that there is a post a day spread out through this Saturday. Hopefully… you know what? Don’t quote me on that.

Anyways, I think that’s enough of an introduction more like a recurring apology  shut up Let’s get to the post!!!

This is my everyday makeup routine. Now, I by no means wear makeup every day. Who has time or willpower for that? Certainly not me! (Literally, some mornings I don’t get out of bed until twenty minutes before I’m supposed to leave. Thank the Lord for leggings, am I right?) But when I do wear makeup, this is the makeup that I do. It usually takes me about fifteen minutes to do it. Give or take five minutes.

I really like this look because it is glamorous while still making me look like I put a lot of effort into my face. While really I didn’t. (But I mean, they don’t have to know that *winks* wow, you’re a sardonic little witch today, aren’t you  I’m going to punch you  I’m you  SHUT UP)

ANYWAYS, here is my somewhat-everyday-maybe-twice-a-week-three-times-if-im-feeling-well-but-usually-not makeup look!

As always, my apologies for the awful photography. I will never understand how the Instagram beauty people do it.

I’d like to say upfront, this does take some time. If you’re running short on time, take some advice from our resident beauty guru Jeremy Renner. jeremy renner.gif

Also, concealer if you’re feeling super self-conscious about acne or something. But it really is good to not put makeup on those problem areas, as it will only make it worse. Learn to take your own advice, Ms. Nose Acne  Go jump off a bridge

But for this look, first you will do your eyebrows. Eyebrows for me are a weakness so if mine aren’t “on fleek” as the kids say nowadays, then I just won’t wear makeup. I’m not even joking.

I use either the Salon Perfect Brow Pomade in the shade Taupe or the It Cosmetics Brow Power pencil in the shade Universal Taupe. I really like the taupe shades because firstly, I prefer my brows to be lighter than my hair, but that’s just a personal preference. And second, with Taupe you can really build the color to the correct shade that you need.

Next, I use concealer to cover any blemishes as well as my under eye bags. I don’t wear foundation, so I blend out the concealer using my finger until there are no lines distinguishing it from my natural skin tone.

I use the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in the shade Medium. I really like this concealer because it is lightweight but it is so pigmented and it covers every single blemish. The only thing that I don’t like is that it creases a bit if you put it around your nose and mouth.

Next, I line my eyes. I always wing my eyeliner because I wear glasses and I really like my eyes to stand out from behind them. The sharp angle of the wing draws attention to the eyes rather than the glasses.

I use the It Cosmetics No-Tug Eyeliner in the Shade Brown-Black. It’s not my favorite eyeliner but it’s what I have, currently. And beggars can’t be choosers.

Next, I use mascara. I’m not going to explain this step because I think that you probably know how to use mascara.

I use the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara and it is honestly the best mascara that I have ever used. It is worth every penny and honestly I want it to have my children.

After all of that, I highlight and contour. I use the It Cosmetics You Sculpted! Pallete. I don’t use any specific color because I use a mixture of the shades for a medium strength contour. Because I have high cheekbones, but chubby cheeks, I contour along my cheeks and under my jawline. As for highlight, I just use a shimmery white eyeshadow. My highlight is usually hit or miss. I really prefer peachy tones in my highlight, but I can’t seem to find a good one. So please leave any suggestions for highlighters with peachy undertones in the comments!

And that’s really it! If It Cosmetics wants to sponsor me that’d be pretty great considering I mostly use their products. (Notice me makeup senpai). I’ll see you all tomorrow! x, Hailey.
