I’m back, everyone!! Throw a party for the return of
your overlord I mean, your absolute favorite blogger.
I’m terribly sorry for my absence, however as I’ve been told multiple times by other bloggers in the community mental health is more important. But anyways! I’m back.
Over the next two weeks, I will be super busy so the posts will likely be related to my plans, but I look forward to reading the posts that I missed and talking to you all!
Anyways, I suck at intros, even when they’re not really intros so here is the post that you clicked to read.
This past Saturday I spent the whole morning out shopping with my younger sister. I had a strict limit on my money due to the fact that I am saving for other things, but I brought along some money so that I could get a few things that I have been wanting. We didn’t go anywhere particularly glamorous or fancy, but we had a lot of fun and found a lot of great bargains.
I guess the first thing, and what I am most excited about would be the stuff I got for my Hermione Granger cosplay. I’m going to Comic-Con next weekend and I am really excited because this will be my first time! I found everything that I needed at Goodwill, and it was less than ten dollars. I got a white button-up shirt (it’s a male shirt, but whatever works), a red and gold tie, and a pair of Mary Jane style pumps that were practically brand new. Apart from that, I also got two burgundy sweaters of different cuts from Goodwill. Altogether I spent about fifteen dollars.
The next place we went was Wal-Mart. I personally hate Wal-Mart, but I won’t deny that they have some great bargains. I spent my money in the cosmetics department on two new things to try on my eyebrows. One of them was a brush-in thing that didn’t work at all, and the other was a brow pomade and it worked fantastically.
The last place we went was Rue 21. I got a pair of dangly earrings that I thought would suit my prom dress perfectly. They have a clip on the back so that they can climb up the ear about half-way and they’re absolutely gorgeous. And then, against every single one of my beliefs… I bought a pop-socket.
And do you know what? I have no regrets. I freakin’ love this thing.
Overall my sister and I had a super fun morning and we are both really proud of our joint bargain-hunting skills. We got some much-needed sister time and it was great.
I’m sorry this post is just a mess. Hopefully I’ll be back in the swing of things before too long. It’s good to be back! I’ll see you all soon.
