Hello again everyone! I’m sorry for my absence, everyone. I think in the new year I’m going to try and post twice a week starting out. Most likely on Tuesday and Friday (as those are both days when I don’t have any doctor’s appointments or any other outstanding plans). However! To send 2017 out with a bang
and give it the fiery death it deserves I will be posting two times today!!
There will be this final Christmas themed post (6 pm EST) and then a yearly wrapup type post (9 pm EST).
Anyways, I hope you enjoy! Let’s get to the post, shall we?
I am exceedingly grateful for what gifts I received this Christmas (and any other Christmas, really). I don’t want it to seem like I’m rubbing it in their face. In fact, the reason this post is so late (apart from the fact that I have been FREAKING busy) is that I was stuck debating on whether or not this post was a good idea. I really hope this is a good disclaimer… I’ve never really done one.
To begin, my mom and dad got me a bumper and headlights for my car. I am SO thankful for this because I’ve been driving my mom’s car ever since my wreck back in October. I can’t wait to get my car (lovingly dubbed by my mother “El Diablo”) back on the road again! I can’t really include a picture because at this point it has been put onto my car and in order to see it I’d have to photograph my entire car and I’m not a great photographer so I’m just gonna pass.
The second thing my mom and dad gave me was a new phone. My old phone had one foot in the grave (shoutout to my mom for “dropping” it repeatedly on concrete. I still maintain that it was premeditated 😉 ) so I really needed a new phone. My parents gave me a Samsung Galaxy S8 which I am currently loving dearly. Again, I’m not really able to photograph this because y’know THE PHONE IS THE CAMERA.
They also gave me some money.
Next up, is the gift my younger sister gave me (whiCH I’M VERY SORRY ALEX YOUR PRESENT IS STILL BEING MADE BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT WHY AM I SCREAMING) which is a receipt holder. I always forget how much money is on my card when I’m getting gas or grocery shopping and hopefully this will make it easier to deduct the amount I’ve spent!
Then there is what Santa Claus brought me (gotta credit the big man separately, you know?). He brought me one of those absolutely amazing sequin pillows that you see on the internet all the time. The ones where you rub the sequins one way and they turn a different color. They’re so addictive and therapeutic. I love it.
Then he brought me a Bible, to which he’s already given me permission to exchange if it’s not the one I want. Why do I need a Bible in this day of technology, you ask? Well, I saw something on Pinterest where, as you read through the Bible, you mark your favorite passages and do little doodles and whatnot. But I had the idea to sort of do that, but do it so that one day I can give the Bible to my future spouse as a wedding gift!
Finally, he gave me the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara which I have adored so far. I’ve only used it twice (because it’s winter break and I literally give no bothers) but both times have been super positive. I may do a review if any of you are interested?
My grandparents gave me money, but they also gave me so much more this year and for that I will be eternally grateful. I’m afraid that I must be quite vague in regards to what all they’ve done for me, but I hope they know that I appreciate their love and care more than they will ever know.
And last but not least, my aunt and uncle gave me some Wet n’ Wild cosmetics inside of a lovely Mason jar cup, and a Wet n’ Wild eye kit. I must say, the pink glitter is calling my name at the moment, maybe a new look is in store for it?
Again, I just want to reiterate that I am SO thankful for not only my presents this Christmas but also what my friend’s and family have done for me this year. I don’t think anything is more important than a firm shoulder to cry on, and someone to talk to when things were rough (though the materialc things are nice as well).
I hope you all had a marvelous Christmas as well and got what you wished for. I’ll see you all later tonight with a very special end-of-year post. Also shout out to my granddad who’s birthday is today! Love you Papa ❤
